WIN Thrift Store

The WIN Thrift Store accepts donated items for sale to the community. Store sales are the primary funding for WIN's programs and services and helps meet the community's need for affordable household items, thus easing the strained resources of many struggling families. The Thrift Store is also a resource WIN uses to meet client's critical needs for household necessities. The store is located on Philosopher's Terrace, next to Dollar General. For more information, visit the store's page here.

WIN is excited about our newest program - The Alley Teen and Community Center. The Alley is located at 327 High Street, and offers free tutoring, homework help and supervised fun for area teens ages 13 - 17 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3 - 7pm. Spanish Outreach

We are actively conducting outreach into the Spanish-speaking families in our community.
  • Translating our Thrift Store brochure into Spanish, providing information and assistance for some of our local families in their native language.
  • Partnering with the Kent County Health Department, providing translating services for families.
  • Spanish voicemail option for families calling in to receive assistance.
  • Homework assistance for teens at The Alley
  • Active community outreach into local homes and businesses providing information about available services for spanish-speaking families.
  • Notary Public Services in Spanish.
  • Complete translation of our materials is currently under active development.

Annual Christmas Concert

Our third annual Christmas concert was held at Christ United Methodist Church in Chestertown at 4pm on December 16, 2007. The College of Southern Maryland Concert Choir and Orchestra performed selected works.
